New Partnership with the VC Trust

Ooh exciting – this is our first proper blog!

Can you believe we have been going just over a year? And what a year it has been. We now have 580 members and keep going from strength to strength.

In the last couple of days we have had some really great news, forming a new partnership with the Victoria Cross Trust. Check out their website here:

This all came about thanks to an inspiring young man called George Taylor who recently became an officer for the VC Trust in Kent - at the age of 12! As we both live in the same county, I approached George and his family to see if there was anything Tendagrave could do to help. George needed to visit the VC graves in Kent, all 29 of them, and make a record of their condition for the Trust which is where Tendagrave came in. I was able to email our volunteers and ask if they could help out – which they were really keen to do. Our thanks to Melanie, Wendy, Colin, Martin, Sally, and Rosemary. Have a look at this BBC South East today report on George and his work

I then got a chance to chat to Gary from the VC Trust and we decided on forming a partnership. We are really looking forward to working with the Trust – I think the next 12 months is going to be quite something!
